Sebuah multimeter dapat digunakan dan cukup efektif untuk menguji SCRs. Lalu bagaimana caranya ? Langkah pertama yang perlu dilakukan adalah  memeriksa dioda antara terminal gate dan katoda dari SCR tersebut. Tes ini seperti dalam hal pengujian dioda silikon.

Putar saklar pemilih multimeter dalam posisi resistensi yang tinggi. Pasang ujung kabel positif multimeter ke anoda SCR dan mengarah negatif terhadap katoda. Multimeter akan menunjukkan rangkaian terbuka. Sekarang sebaliknya koneksi dan multimeter lagi akan menampilkan rangkaian terbuka.

Lalu hubung singkatkan terminal anoda dan gate SCR untuk kabel positif multimeter dan katoda untuk kabel negatif. Multimeter akan menunjukkan resistansi rendah yang menunjukkan hidupnya dari SCR. Sekarang dengan hati-hati lepas gate dari anoda dan  multimeter akan menunjukkan pembacaan resistansi rendah yang menunjukkan kondisi latching.  Jika semua tes di atas adalah positif kita bisa berasumsi bahwa SCR yang akan bekerja dengan baik.

Perlu diketahui bahwa LED membutuhkan arus yang terbatas, tidak bisa sembarang pasang. Misalnya mencoba menyalakan led dengan menggunakan aki mobil yang 12 volt secara langsung, pasti akan terbakar. Lalu bagaimana caranya agar tidak mudah terbakar? Menambahkan sebuah resistor yang sederhana adalah cara termudah untuk membatasi arus. Agar LED dapat digunakan dengan baik, menentukan nilai tegangan dan arus yang diinginkan mutlak sangat diperlukan.

Yang harus dipahami pertama kali adalah bahwa LED adalah sebuah dioda, yang berarti ada polarisasinya dimana arus mengalir dari Anoda (kutub positif) ke Katoda (kutub negatif). Biasanya kutub positip bisa dilihat dari kawat yang panjang, sedangkan yang pendek adalah kutub negatip.

LED dapat dioperasikan di hampir semua tegangan sepanjang mereka digunakan dengan resistor pembatas yang tepat. Kebanyakan LED membutuhkan tegangan bias maju sekitar 2 Volt dan mengkonsumsi arus sekitar 20mA. Menggunakan LED pada tegangan di atas 3 Volt tanpa resistor yang tepat akan menyebabkan LED mudah terbakar.

Jika Anda tidak tahu spesifikasi yang tepat untuk LED yang Anda gunakan, anda bisa menggunakan tegangan 2 Volt @ 20 mA atau sebuah battery 1,5 Volt sebagai titik awal untuk menghitung resistor yang dibutuhkan. LED dengan kecerahan yang lebih tinggi memerlukan tegangan dan arus yang lebih tinggi pula.

Bagimana jika kita akan merangkai beberapa buah LED, anda bisa merangkai LED secara seri dengan sebuah resitor untuk keseluruhan rangkaian. Menjumlahkan tegangan dari semua LED dalam rangkaian. Seharusnya tidak melebihi 80 persen dari tegangan suplai. Penghitungan resistansi tegangan mutlak diperlukan.

Sebagai contoh :

(Tegangan acuan - Tegangan drop) / Amps = Ohms

• Tegangan acuan= 12 Volt
• Tegangan Drop = 9.3 Volt (3.1 volt untuk LED warna biru)
• Arus = 20 milliAmps

Jadi resistor yang dibutuhkan adalah :
 

(12 - 9.3) / (20 / 1000) = 135 ohms

Kameranya masih berkekuatan VGA, pemutar musik dengan effect suara khas ponsel-ponsel i-Mobile, juga radio FM lengkap dengan kemampuan merekam siaran radio. Terdapat pula fitur schedule power On/Off yang bisa mengatur kapan jadwal mati dan nyala ponsel.

Pihak vendor mengklaim layar pada ponsel ini berukuran 2,4 inci ( 5 x 3,7 cm ) dengan resolusi 240 x 320 pixels. Sayang, sebagai ponsel TV analog, layarnya yang bisa disetel dalam kondisi full screen atau portrait kurang memanjakan mata. Tampilan menu di layar tersusun dalam 12 menu ikonik dan ukuran font di masing-masing menu akan membesar setiap kali di klik.

Sebagai ponsel dual on, ponsel ini terdapat dua kartu GSM yang dapat aktif bersamaan atau memilih salah satunya saja. Umumnya ponsel dual-on memiliki dua tombol panggil, namun pada ponsel ini terdapat satu tombol panggil saja.

Masuk ke fitur musiknya, ternyata semua file musik harus disimpan di folder My Music pada File Manager. Tersedia juga beberapa pengaturan equalizer, seperti Standard, Pops, Classic, 3D, Bass, Flat dan Dynamic. Dengan headset, musik yang didengar bisa lebih maksimal. Slot headsetnya menguunakan ukuran universal 3,5 mm AV.

Ponsel ini memiliki kapasitas memori internal sebesar 494 kb. Jelas sangat terbatas. Namun jangan khawatir, pabrikan ini menyediakan slot memori eskternal untuk menampung kapasitas maksimal memori eksternal mencapai 1 GB.

Kinerja baterai dari pengisian full dan ponsel dibiarkan dalam keadaan siaga selama tiga hari masih menyisakan dua bar baterai. Kekuatan baterai yang dibekalinya adalah 1100 mAh, yang diklaim pihak vendor mampu bertahan hingga 250 jam waktu siaga, dan 3 jam waktu bicara.
